ABOUT Nilaya Varma

Nilaya is a well-recognized management consultant who has been involved in and led large transformational programs and policies in India and across the world. His passion to travel has not only taken him to all seven continents but also working in over 30 countries … an experience that helps him appreciate the role of culture and capacity in bringing change.

With a career spanning of about 25 years, he has worked extensively with state and national governments to help formulate policy, design programs and hand hold implementation that impacts livelihood of millions. He has worked extensively with international funding institutions and donor agencies in enabling many of these transformations.

Prior to helping set up Primus Partners, he had been a Partner in large firms like PwC, Accenture and KPMG. In his role at previous organization, he has multiple time established large and successful public sector focused consulting practices and led 1000+ people teams.

Nilaya is also one of the leading Public Policy, Investment Promotion & Realization and Digital Transformation specialists globally, having led Government Policy formulations in multiple countries. He writes extensively in media and is quoted regularly because of the insights and point of view that he brings to the table. He is an alumnus of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers and Management Development Institute and is presently based out of Delhi. At Primus, apart from being the CEO, he leads the “Public Policy Realization” Practice and is part of the Board and the Leadership Team.
